Plain-language terms for the Scenic Route Society app.
By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live).
You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your login private. Don't impersonate others or sign up with someone else's info.
You keep ownership of routes, photos, and comments you upload. By posting, you give us permission to display and share that content within the app. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, infringing, or that isn't yours to share.
We can review, hide, or remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms. Community routes are reviewed before they appear publicly.
You can report content that violates these terms from inside the app. We act on reports as quickly as we reasonably can.
The Society points you toward places worth the detour. It does not know what the road is doing today. A mountain pass can close overnight, a diner can shut for the season, a gravel road can wash out, and the next gas can be a lot farther than it looks on a map. Before you go, check conditions with the people who track them: the state's road site, the park service, the business itself. Carry more fuel and water than you think you need. If a sign on the road and a line in this app disagree, the sign wins. You are the driver. Every route here is a suggestion, and every decision behind the wheel is yours.
We work hard to keep routes accurate and the app running, but we can't guarantee either. Drive safely and use your own judgment on the road; conditions, closures, and businesses change.
You can delete your account any time (Profile, then "Delete account"). We can suspend or end access if these terms are broken.
We'll update this page and the effective date when these terms change.
